Bart Simpson mooning you from the side of a moving truck. Didn’t get to see this side the other week when I got a shot of the driver’s side.

This has got to be the worst story title for an in-flight magazine, ever.

Saw this painted up truck on W 48th at lunchtime. Had to act fast to snap a picture and didn’t get a chance to see the other side.

And there’s Jamie Powell immortalized in a painting by Loren Munk. Guess I didn’t make the cut because of my adamant defense of all things communist, huh Loren? Photo via Stephen Truax.

There’s Jamie’s painting in the New York Times.

Joe Nanashe Website UPDATE

After a LONG period of neglect, I’ve finally gotten around to updating my website. Nothing from 2012 yet, but I’ve got a few projects in the works…

Beat Nite!

COME TAKE A LOOK BEFORE IT ALL TURNS TO SHIT!

Jump on the L Train and skip the Williamsburg stops, because it’s Beat Nite out here in Bushwick, where the local galleries stay open late. So cool that NY Times wrote a trivial piece of crap that smacks of outdated Manhattan superiority. But then again, what do expect from the Fashion & Style section? After all, if they took it the slightest bit serious the article would’ve been in the The Arts section. It also would have focused on art over rental prices, or discussed issues of gentrification instead of detailing the the horrors of white kids slumming it without heat for a weekend. I’ll quit bitching and just read the article here: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/08/fashion/bushwick-brooklyn-as-next-gallery-district-in-new-york.html

Anyway, there is some good stuff. Kevin Curran at Norte Maar (one of the true pioneers not mentioned in the article above) opens tonight. And Hypercolor at Small Black Door is open late tonight too. After party at English Kills Gallery.
